[Canon City, CO – March 27, 2024]

Progressive CareCenter’s Activities Director, Ashley Gray, has been recognized with the prestigious Above & Beyond Customer Service Award, celebrating individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to senior care.

The award was presented by Robert Jones, President of Frontline Management, in a surprise ceremony onWednesday, March 26, 2024. Ashley received a trophy, a gold name badge, and a$1,000 cash prize in recognition of her outstanding contributions.

Ashley, originally from Radcliff, Kentucky, moved to CanonCity three years ago to be closer to her sister. She has been an integral part of Progressive Care Center since the summer of 2022, starting as a CNA student before quickly rising through the ranks to her current role as ActivitiesDirector. Her passion for enriching residents’ lives has made her an invaluable member of the Progressive Care Center team.

“Ashley is the most caring, kind, and compassionate person I know. She takes Quality of Life for our residents to a whole new level. She isa huge asset to our community, and we are so lucky to have her,” said Jennifer Gameros, Executive Director of Progressive Care Center.

Ashley’s impact on the facility is best summed up in her nomination letter, which details her tireless dedication: from assisting residents in their daily routines, leading engaging activities, and providing motional support, to stepping in wherever she is needed – even flipping pancakes in the early morning. Her unwavering commitment and boundless energy have earned her the admiration of residents, families, and colleagues alike.

A single mother to her 6-year-old son, Zachary, Ashley balances her career with motherhood, and Zachary has become a cherished part of the Progressive Care Center family. Many residents lovingly refer to him as their grandson, looking forward to his after-school visits.

The award ceremony was attended by residents, staff, friends, and Frontline Management leadership, all gathered to celebrateAshley’s remarkable achievements. Her story is a testament to the power of compassion, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others.
